🌟 What is Dhul Hijjah?

Dhul Hijjah (Arabic: ذُو ٱلْحِجَّة) is one of the four sacred months in Islam. It is most known for two major events:

1. Hajj – the annual pilgrimage to Makkah, one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

2. Eid al-Adha – the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah.

The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are considered among the best days of the year in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

> "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days."
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

The 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, known as the Day of Arafah, is the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage. On this day, millions of Muslims gather at the Plain of Arafat to pray and seek forgiveness.

For those not performing Hajj, fasting on the Day of Arafah is highly recommended and carries immense rewards. The Prophet (SAW) said:

> “Fasting on the day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.”
(Sahih Muslim)
